A WEE BIT ABOUT ME
Hi I’m Pam just wanted to tell you a little bit
about myself and my background.
I have been qualified in grooming for the last 8 years,
initially as a hobby but over time I have developed a desire
to establish my own business from my enjoyment of grooming dogs.
I qualified in September 2014 with a Level 3 City & Guilds Certificate
in Dog Grooming through Scotgroom.
I have worked with animals all my adult life
initially professionally in Equine managing several livery yards.
Achieving BHS.A.I. in the mid 1990’s, for freelance riding instruction.
Unfortunately due to a bad injury after 15 years in the industry
I had to move on, so I had to decide where else I could work
without the physical toll, I was fortunate to have my own dog
and enjoyed training and working with him,
this led me to working in Dog Day Care for five years.
Thoroughly enjoyed working with dogs on a daily basis
which led me to a new challenge in 2015
when I started working at Royal (Dick) School of
Veterinary Studies as an Animal Care Assistant.
I work in all areas of the Small Animal Hospital covering medicine,
surgery and intensive care patients. It is a hands on job
with many varying situations, both high and low,
but none the less very rewarding nursing patients back to health
